"I plan to buy a microphone. What kind do you recommend for me?" Well, what are you going to use it for? If you plan use your microphone again on stage for amplification, you should check out "dynamic cardioid" microphones, such as the Shure SM58 or Shure Beta 58A. There are two microphones scene the most popular and effective available, but there are many more. Just go to your local music store and ask questions about "dynamic mics" cardioid.
